Description EVO-STIK The Dog’s Adhesive & Sealant is a versatile, all-weather, advanced hybrid SMP technology for interior use. Provides a strong, flexible bond for most building materials and can even be used on wet surfaces. Available in clear or white, in 290ml tubes. EVO-STIK The Dog’s Adhesive & Sealant cures under the influence of humidity to form a durable elastic rubber, which is almost odourless. It is solvent free and suitable for bonding a variety of materials. Can be used for sealing joints, gap filling, roof repair and as a grab adhesive, wood adhesive, decorators caulk etc. Preparation: Surfaces must be sound, clean, and free from any contaminants such as dust, oil, grease, and any loose material. Cut off the dome at the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the thread. Cut the nozzle to the desired width and angle. Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a cartridge gun and repeatedly squeeze the trigger until the adhesive appears. Adhesive Application: Apply parallel beads of adhesive to one of the surfaces, align and bring the surfaces together before the product has skinned. Beads 5mm in diameter are generally sufficient. For close fitting surfaces, the bead may be reduced to 3mm in diameter. The degree of separation of the beads of EVO-STIK The Dog’s Adhesive & Sealant will depend upon the rigidity and weight of the panel, board or sign being bonded. A perimeter bead should not be applied as this can increase curing times. For rigid sheets, 100 – 150mm separation between beads is generally sufficient for high loading but may be increased if the load is low (such as lightweight wallboards and foam polystyrene) where 200mm – 500mm is acceptable. • For less rigid boards, the separation may need to be quite small, and it is important to choose the correct bead size to ensure good contact on the mating surfaces. Clamp or support the materials until sufficient time has elapsed. Sealant Application: Place the nozzle at the start of the gap and gently squeeze the trigger. Push forward slowly, ensuring that contact is made by the product with both sides of the gap. At the end of the run, release the trigger and press the plunger release plate of the gun. Product must be gunned firmly into the joints to ensure good adhesion to the joint surfaces. Smooth the sealant with a wet tool (do not use a wet finger) remove any excess with a cloth moistened with white spirit. Coverage: Approximately 11 metres using a 5mm bead. EVO-STIK The Dog’s Adhesive & Sealant is not suitable for PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, Soft plastics, neoprene, and bituminous substrates. EVO-STIK The Dog’s Adhesive & Sealant is not suitable for continuous exposure to water. It should not be used in swimming pools. Do not use for aquarium applications. Not suitable for natural stone and mirrors. Not suitable for movement and glazing joints. With prolonged exposure to UV radiation, products can discolour and become less UV stable. EVO-STIK The Dog’s Adhesive & Sealant is paintable after 24 hours with most paints (avoid alkyd resin-based paints). It is recommended to test compatibility with any paints prior to applications.
