Description BAL Universal Sealant & Adhesive is a multi purpose, highly flexible, waterproof construction adhesive and sealant which as a multitude of uses. Refixing / bonding tiles to walls or floors including in swimming pools, fountains and other wet areas making it ideal for minor repairs and alterations. Bonding sanitary ware to tiled surfaces. Sealing around baths, sinks or other perimeter joints and sealing gutter cracks. Bonding a wide range of materials to a wide range of backgrounds for general construction purposes such as bonding skirting boards, dado rails, architrave, kick plates, carpet gripper, aluminium and rigid PVC stair nosing, edge trims and door plates. Adhering metal boxes in chases, plastic conduits to walls, or adhering metal trunking. BAL Universal Sealant & Adhesive has a curing time of 24 hours and a skinning time of 7-10 minutes. Surface Preparation: Ensure that surfaces are clean, sound, free from dust, contaminants and barriers to adhesion. Application: Before use ensure the cartridge has been stored at room temperature. Fit the cartridge into the applicator/ skeleton gun and cut the nozzle to the desired width/angle. BAL Universal Adhesive & Sealant can be applied to concrete, cementitious underlayments, wood, plywood, painted surfaces, drywall panels, ceramic tiles, some plastics, metal, waterproofing membranes, polystyrene foam and fibreglass. If in any doubt regarding compatibility of the substrate or material to be bonded carry out a trial application. BAL Universal Adhesive & Sealant will start to skin over within 7 – 10 minutes, depending on temperature. As the material reacts with moisture, please note that the skin will develop faster in higher humidity environments. The adhesive has many diverse uses in the construction industry but is not designed for structural purposes where it is required to add strength to the building itself or fix materials of a structural purpose i.e. anchor plates, fireplaces, structural steel. Removal: Remove wet adhesive residue with a clean, dampened cloth with soapy water. If BAL Universal Sealant & Adhesive has dried or skins over, it must be scraped off with a blade for removal.
