Description The Marmox Showerlay Point Drain range of shower trays are pre-formed tileable trays with sloped 4-way falls down to a square point drain. Constructed from the same materials as the Marmox Multiboard Tile Backer Board, each tray consists of a blue foam core made from dense extruded polystyrene foam that is reinforced with glass fibre (with alkali-resistant finish) on both sides and coated with a polymer-modified cement in the traditional Marmox honeycomb structure for optimal adhesion. This core is 100% waterproof and remains fully functional even after possible damage. The top surface of the tray is coated with a waterproof fleece layer, ensuring reliable waterproofing around the edges and easy adhesion to tile adhesives. This fleece extends 100mm beyond the tray edge, providing reliable protection at the joints with the surrounding floor and walls. The Marmox Showerlay Point Drain Shower Tray and the overlapping fleece are fixed using tile adhesive, after which Marmox Self-Adhesive Waterproof Tape is applied along the fleece edges where they meet adjacent surfaces. They measure 20-24mm in thickness on the perimeter, depending on the size. The 4-way pre-formed slopes in the surface of the tray direct the flow of water towards the drainage trap when tiled over. This drainage outlet is available is three different positions relative to the shape of the tray – central, corner or off-set towards one end. The drainage grate surround is height adjustable to accommodate varying tile thicknesses. Each Marmox Showerlay Point Drain Shower Tray is supplied complete with a horizontal outlet drainage trap kit – the Marmox VEVA Drain Waste. This is a high-quality, reliable waste system designed specifically for use with Marmox Showerlay trays. Made from strong, durable materials, it provides a secure, watertight connection between the shower tray and the drainage system, ensuring consistent long-term performance. The Marmox VEVA Waste includes an integrated trap that ensures efficient water flow while preventing odours from escaping into the bathroom. It is quick to install and easy to maintain, with a removable inner section for convenient cleaning access. Available for both square and linear drain Showerlays, the waste offers long-lasting, dependable performance for stylish, modern walk-in shower areas. The drain body measures 75mm in height and 112mm in diameter. The Marmox Showerlay Point Drain Shower Tray is supplied complete with a brushed stainless steel drain grating as standard.
