Description BAL Primer 1C is a high Performance primer for use with BAL Waterproof 1C Tanking Membrane, for internal use on walls and floors. Comes in 1 litre containers. Red in colour. To be used undiluted. BAL Primer 1C is for preparing floor and wall tiling backgrounds prior to waterproofing with BAL Waterproof 1C Tanking Membrane, providing stability to friable surfaces and reducing the porosity of absorbent backgrounds/bases. BAL Primer 1C can be used on most common building substrates, such as rendered brick/concrete/lightweight blockwork, cement:sand screed, plaster, BAL Board/Tile Backer Boards/Fibre Cement Boards and overlaid timber floors. Please Note: It is NOT suitable for use on: Metal, painted surfaces, existing non-porous surfaces (existing glazed or porcelain tiles), epoxy coatings, some manufactured board systems (check with manufacturer first) and in total immersion areas (e.g. swimming pools). Drying time: 15-30 minutes (at 20°c) Coverage: Approx. 6m² per litre Usage procedure: IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT use in temperatures below 5°C. Do not dilute. 1. Ensure surfaces are free from dirt, grease and other loose materials. Brush down highly polished surfaces with a stiff bristle brush before priming. 2. Apply 1 coat of primer using a clean brush from a container. NOTE: If using on floor, do NOT allow to form puddles. 3. Ensure even coverage. 4.
