Description The Amber Heat Spreader Plates for UFH Pipe are designed for installing wet underfloor heating systems in between joists in suspended timber floor systems. They feature formed channels for securely holding UFH pipe and are designed to be fitted on top of floor joists or battens at the standard 400 mm centres (should the joist spaces vary this can be usually overcome on site). The Amber Heat Spreader Plates for UFH Pipe are available in 3 different sizes, with pre-formed channels at the following spacing: 1000 x 300m (2 channels at 150mm centres), 1000 x 390mm (2 channels at 200mm centres) and 1000 x 600mm (2 channels at 200mm centres) The plate can be nailed, screwed or stapled onto the top of the floor joist or floor batten. The groove is formed in an omega shape to clip and hold the pipe securely unlike a straight U channel spreader plates. They are designed to work with 16mm Amber Wet Underfloor Heating Pipe, Amber Underfloor Heating Manifold, and Amber Pump Sets. Each plate will cover a heated floor area of 1/2 m² allowing sufficient spacing between each spreader plate, and also at the edge of the room where the pipe turns 180° back into the spreader plate. The Amber Heat Spreader Plates for UFH Pipe have a rated heat output of 77 watts per m² at room temperature 20°C with a floor temperature of 27°C. Amber recommend that the spreader plate sits snugly beneath the floorboards giving direct contact to the floor board, which will then give the maximum heat transfer from your water underfloor heating system.
