Description Bostik FIX A320 TACK is a solvent-free, non-staining polymer dispersion adhesive designed to provide a permanently tacky film when dry. This facilitates the easy removal and replacement of carpet tiles. It is particularly well suited to office environments and raised access panel systems. Bostik FIX A320 Tack is suitable for bonding stable, flat carpet tiles backed with PVC, polypropylene and bitumen with fibre backing; to raised access floor panels, concrete, cementitious screeds, asphalt, terrazzo, chipboard, hardboard, plywood, smoothing compounds and existing floor coverings, e.g. thermoplastic tiles, PVC or linoleum. It is suitable for use with warm water underfloor heating systems, provided a surface temperature of 27°C is not exceeded. Directions for use: Subfloor: 1. Ensure the subfloor is clean, sound, dry and free from contaminants that may hinder adhesion prior to using Bostik FIX A320 TACK. 2. The subfloor should be tested in accordance with British Standards using a properly calibrated and insulated hygrometer. 3. A reading of 75% RH or less confirms that the subfloor is satisfactorily dry. Where this has not been attained, it is necessary to apply a Bostik Screedmaster surface membrane to suppress residual moisture. For further information, contact Technical Services. 4. If any areas of the subfloor are in need of localised repairs, use Bostik Screedmaster Rapid Repair Mortar. 5. For subfloors that are not sufficiently smooth or require height build up to receive the particular floor covering being bonded, an application of a suitable Bostik Screedmaster smoothing compound and primer system is recommended. Please consult Technical Services for advice on specific products and subfloors. 6. Surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed. Prime boards and other porous surfaces with either diluted Bostik Screedmaster Universal Primer (2 parts water to 1 part primer) or diluted Fix A320 (1 part water to 1 part adhesive) and allow to dry. This is particularly important with hardboard, chipboard and plywood. 7. Before applying Bostik FIX A320 TACK, ensure the substrate is dry and dust free. 8. Bostik FIX A320 TACK is suitable for use over existing PVC and linoleum, however, ensure all traces of polish and contaminants have been removed. Underfloor heating systems: 9. Underfloor heating systems must be switched off for 48 hours before installation. Wait 7 days after installation before gradually turning up underfloor heating. Application: 10. Apply using a long haired mohair or lambswool roller. Allow to fully dry to a clear tacky film (normally 30 – 45 minutes). NOTE: Laying into wet adhesive on metal surfaces will entrap moisture and may cause rusting. 11. Lay tiles and press firmly into position. When removal of tiles is necessary, simply peel up from one corner. Cleaning: 12. Clean tools and equipment with warm water immediately after use. Remove any adhesive from the surface of the floor covering with a damp cloth.
