Description Marmox Fireboard Acoustic Thermal Insulation Board is a board that combines Marmox stone wool with a fibreglass mesh/cement based polymer coating on one side, that can be rendered or plastered over. Marmox stone wool is resistant to combustion and its mass of fibres and air interrupts sound waves from reaching a solid material. Marmox Fireboard is available in 4 board sizes/thicknesses: 1200 x 600 x 12.5mm (please note: this size has no certified fire resistance) 1200 x 600 x 20mm 1200 x 600 x 50mm 1200 x 600 x 100mm Marmox Fireboard offers A1 fire resistance and both acoustic & thermal insulation in a lightweight board. It is designed for use with masonry, timber and steel frame constructions, and offers fireproofing and insulation benefits for walls and ceilings, both internally and externally. Marmox Fireboard is not limited to only fire protection, it also can be used as a weather proof barrier which will not degrade, however wet it gets! Also, being made from mineral wool, the boards provide very good sound decoupling and sound absorption properties. Ideal for using on ceilings in apartments to help block sound from neighbours. Applications: Use Marmox Fireboard to fireproof any metal, masonry or wooden structures. Use as a fireproof alternative to plasterboard on internal walls and ceilings where fire protection and sound proofing is required. Apply a finish coat of plaster. Use on fire surround walls. Use for window and door reveals, where thin fireproof boards are required. Use to reduce thermal bridging on up-stands, used as a non-combustible inverted roof up-stand insulation board.
