Description The Schluter DECO SG TSSG Stone Grey Tile Trim is a high-quality, decorative profile made of anodised aluminium for joint design in tile coverings. It forms a shadow joint in a width of 12 or 15 mm that allows for creating particularly appealing interior wall coverings. Due to its U-shaped geometry, this profile is ideally suited for the insertion of glass elements in floor and wall areas in conjunction with floor-level showers. In tiled shower floor areas, the Schluter DECO SG TSSG Stone Grey Tile Trim forms a functional and decorative solution when installed in combination with the tapered Schluter SHOWERPROFILE S Tile Trim. The Schluter LIPROTEC LLPM illuminated tile trim also uses the Schluter DECO SG TSSG Stone Grey Tile Trim as a receptacle carrier profile for the pre-assembled LED module made from a flexible, encapsulated LED strip with homogeneous light distribution. The Schluter DECO SG TSSG Stone Grey Tile Trim is available in two internal width sizes – 12mm or 15mm, and each width size is available in 4 internal height sizes – 8, 10, 11 and 12.5mm. The surface of Schluter DECO SG TSSG Stone Grey Tile Trim has a natural textured appearance with a textured natural stone grey colour finish. The aluminium surface is suitably pre-treated and then powder-coated with a polyurethane covering. The coating is colour-stable, as well as UV- and weather-resistant. Visible edges should be protected against abrasion. Schluter DECO SG TSSG Stone Grey Tile Trim Installation: Select the appropriate size profile according to the tile thickness. Apply tile adhesive to the area where the tile covering will end, using a notched trowel. Press the trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg of the Schluter DECO SG TSSG Stone Grey Tile Trim firmly into the adhesive and align it. Trowel additional tile adhesive over the perforated anchoring leg to ensure full coverage. Firmly press the adjoining tiles into place and align them in such a way that they are flush with the upper profile edge. The tiles must be fully embedded in the area of the profile. Leave a joint of approx. 1.5 mm between the tile and the Schluter DECO SG Tile Trim profile. Completely fill the space between the tile and the profile with grout. Use suitable materials and tools for the sensitive surfaces to avoid scratches or other damage. Residue of mortar and tile adhesive should be removed immediately. Glass elements may be inserted into the profile after the final installation. Important: The glass may not be in direct contact with the profile.
