Description Schluter RONDEC EP Polished Stainless Steel Tile Trim is a finishing and edge protection profile for the external corners of tiled surfaces, with a polished stainless steel finish. It forms a symmetrically rounded outer corner along the surface edge. Schluter RONDEC EP Polished Stainless Steel Tile Trim is available in the following internal height sizes: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12.5mm, 15mm. All sizes come in lengths of 2.5 metres. Schluter RONDEC EP Polished Stainless Steel Tile Trim can be used with the matching Schlüter DESIGNLINE to create decorative borders. In addition to the profile’s decorative effect, the tiles are protected against damage caused by mechanical stresses within the edge area. Schluter RONDEC EP Polished Stainless Steel Tile Trim is particularly resistant to wear when used as edge protection; it may also be used as stair nosing or as a transition profile. In addition, this trim is suitable for transitions, corners or dado coverings with other covering materials e.g. carpet, parquetry, natural stone tiles or epoxy resin finishes. Matching corner pieces are available for Schluter RONDEC EP Polished Stainless Steel Tile Trim to create elegant corner connections, in either die-cast aluminium or solid stainless steel. The solid stainless steel corner pieces are only available in the external configuration. Also available is the Schluter RONDEC EB/EK End Cap for applications where a corner piece is not suitable. This is only available in a brushed finish and is designed to be used with all stainless steel RONDEC profiles. Stainless steel connector pieces for connecting two lengths of trim together linearly are also available – The Schluter RONDEC E V Connector. This connector piece is designed for use with all Schluter QUADEC E Stainless Steel and RONDEC E Stainless Steel Trim Profiles. Schluter RONDEC EP Polished Stainless Steel Tile Trim is made from 1.4301 (V2A) stainless steel. This is suitable for applications requiring resistance against chemical exposure and high mechanical loadings. Application areas include industrial food production facilities such as breweries, dairies, industrial kitchens, and hospitals as well as residential spaces. Schluter RONDEC is also available in 1.4404 stainless steel – Schluter RONDEC EV4A Stainless Steel Tile Trim. The use of V4A is recommended if consistent exposure is expected, for example in the case of swimming pools (fresh water). Even stainless steel is not resistant to all chemical stresses, and may be affected by hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid or certain chloride and brine concentrations. Special anticipated stresses should therefore be verified in advance. Depending on the anticipated chemical stresses, customers can choose between the alloy materials 1.4301 or 1.4404. Schluter RONDEC Tile Trim is also available in Brushed Stainless Steel and the TS TRENDLINE Range of textured aluminium finishes.
