Description Stainless Steel Square Box Section Tile Trim is a folded trim profile forming a square box section edge, that provides a stylish and protective finish to tiled corners and edges. It can also be used as a border feature between tiles. This trim is available in 3 different options – 304 grade standard stainless steel with a polished finish, brushed 304 grade stainless steel and 316 marine grade stainless steel with a polished finish. Internal and external corner pieces are also available for each option. Stainless Steel Square Box Section Tile Trim offers a high level of resistance against corrosion and is very durable. It is particularly suitable for chemical, food-processing and hospital environments, to meet with the hygiene, durability and chemical resistance requirements. The marine grade stainless steel version of this trim offers an even higher level of corrosion resistance and as such is best suited for use in permanently damp environments such as swimming pools, balconies and wet rooms/ bathrooms. It is made out of 316 grade steel belonging to the AUSTENITIC category; its alloy composition is composed of Nickel, Chrome and Molybdenum, and as such means that this tile trim is particularly suited to harsher conditions such as presence of Chlorine and salt concentrations. It also has a shinier, more mirror-like surface finish compared to standard stainless steel. This trim profile is produced through a cold rolling procedure with a steady thickness control. They differ then from the correspondent aluminium or brass profile version – these are manufactured with hot extrusion processes. The brushed surface finish is obtained through quartz-fibre nylon rotary brushes which create the matt effect on the profile but leave the characteristics unaltered.
