Description Mapei Colour Straight Edge Tile Trim is an aluminium profile with a powder coated finish, available in 16 colours that match the Mapei Grout colours. These coloured finishes faithfully reproduce the texture of Mapei Ultracolor Plus cementitious grout, ensuring perfect harmony when used with the same colour in the grout joint and for the silicone joints, using Mapei Mapesil AC Silicone. The Mapei Colour Straight Edge Tile Trim finishes have the same codes and names as the Mapei grouts range: 100 White, 103 Moon White, 110 Manhattan 2000, 111 Silver Grey, 112 Medium Grey, 113 Cement Grey, 114 Anthracite, 120 Black, 123 Ancient White, 130 Jasmine, 132 Beige 2000, 133 Sand, 134 Silk, 135 Golden Dust, 137 Caribbean, and 188 Biscuit. Mapei Colour Straight Edge Tile Trim offers excellent edge protection for external corners of tiled walls. The right angled profile geometry forms a neat finish for tile coverings. Other applications include skirtings and transitions for coverings such as carpet, natural stone, or epoxy resin coverings for wall areas. In addition to the profile’s decorative effect, the tiles are protected against damage caused by mechanical stresses along the edges. Installation Guidelines: Remove the profile from the plastic packaging. Check that the thickness of the covering to be laid corresponds with the height of the selected profile (see the label). Remove, wherever present, the protection (protective and/or thermo-shrink film) covering the finish of the profile. Verify the necessary length and cut the profile to the required measurement, using the proper tools. With a toothed-spatula, spread the adhesive on the laying surface. Press the profile so that the previously applied adhesive comes out from the perforations of the tabs. Delicately place and press the wall covering, ensuring that it is in line with the profile and at the proper distance required for the gap (usually 1 or 2 millimeters). With the proper gap material, seal the cleft left between the wall covering and the profile. Clean excess gap material, glue, detergent, etc. carefully with a soft sponge with water within 10 minutes of application.
