Description The Mira Waterproofing Kit is a complete kit that contains everything needed to fully waterproof a shower or small wetroom before tiling. Available in small or large kit sizes, each kit contains: Mira 4180 Primer Mira 4180 Primer is an acrylic-based liquid containing yellow track pigment. Used as a primer in diluted form on all kinds of absorbent substrates in dry and wet areas, and in concentrated form on wooden-based substrates in dry areas. Designed to close pores of substrate and to ensure good bonding between the substrate and subsequent layers of Mira 4400 Multicoat. Mira 4400 Multicoat Mira 4400 Multicoat Waterproofing Membrane is a flexible, polymer based membrane paste used for tanking floor and wall substrates prior to tiling. Is easily applied using a roller or brush. Used for forming of 100% waterproof, elastic, joint-less membrane for water insulation on floors, walls, in wall and wall/floor corners, connections of wall joints between panels or elements, pipe junctions. Mira Safecoat Roll, Corner Pieces & Manchets Mira Safecoat Roll, Corner Pieces & Manchets are waterproofing components made from Mira Safecoat – a artificial open-fibre fabric that is used as a carrying layer for Mira 4400 Multicoat in wall corners, connections of floor and wall, joints between panels or elements, pipe or balustrade junctions. Usage instructions: The substrate must be dry, compact, cleaned of dust, grease, oil etc before using the Mira Waterproofing Kit. Concrete slurry (if any) should be removed, weaker parts of substrate should be removed and then repaired again. Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner. Grease, oil, dirt should be cleaned. The entire surface should be clean of dust. Absorptive substrates should be primed with the Mira 4180 sealer, thinned with water in the ratio: 1 part of 4180 sealer and 3 parts of water. Non-absorptive substrates e.g. painted or made of ceramic tiles shall not be primed. When the surface is dry Mira Safecoat Roll, Corner Pieces & Manchets should be used to seal all corners, connections of floor and wall, joints between panels or elements, pipe or balustrade junctions. Mira 4400 Multicoat can then be applied to the wall and floor substrates, in two layers, the second after the first has dried.
