Description Ardex X60 PU Flex Resin Tile Adhesive is a two-part polyurethane adhesive ideal for fixing all tile types to problematic substrates such as GRP, steel and polyester, and in interior areas sensitive to moisture e.g. particle boards, plywood, plasterboards, gypsum fibre boards, fibre cement boards and plaster slabs. It is also suitable for adhering natural stone, aluminium and PVC coverings. Comes as a two-component kit with a total weight of 3kg. Ardex X60 PU Flex Resin Tile Adhesive is rapid curing, can receive light foot traffic and is groutable after approximately 3 hours. Has a 45 minute pot life and 60 minute working time. Ardex X60 PU Flex Resin Tile Adhesive creates a water resistant, reliable bond to impermeable, smooth and vibrating substrates, while remaining easy to apply with no special tools required. Ardex X60 PU Flex requires no priming and is suitable for use on interior substrates sensitive to moisture, and exterior areas. Application: Substrate Preparation: The substrate must be clean, dry and free from any contaminants such as dirt, grease, oil and old paint, which must be completely removed prior to installation. Roughen polyester and remove all dust. If applying to chipboard, wax and other surface coatings must be sanded off, and the contained moisture must not exceed 10%. Steel plates must be free from rust and oil. It is recommended that all smooth, dense substrates be lightly sanded, removing all dust, to provide a mechanical key. Mixing: Add Part B to Part A and mix with a drill and paddle on a slow speed until a homogenous and uniform coloured paste is achieved. Once mixed, the pot life of the adhesive is approximately 45 minutes at 20°C. Application: After mixing, spread the Ardex X60 PU Flex adhesive in small portions onto the substrate to allow the reaction heat to dissipate. Using a notched trowel, evenly apply as much material that can be tiled within the products 60 minute working time. Place the tiles and adjust to the correct position. Do not apply to substrates that have a temperature of less than 10°C. Notch Size Approx/Coverage per 3kg unit: 3mm/2m², 4mm/1.5m², 6mm/1m², 8mm/0.75m², 10mm/0.6m² Grouting: Grouting can proceed once the tile bed has hardened sufficiently so that the tiles will not be dislodged, usually after 3 hours. Both ARDEX-FLEX Cement Based Grouts (FS & FL), and ARDEX Epoxy Resin Based Tile Grouts (EG18 Plus, WA) can be used in conjunction with Ardex X60 PU Flex Resin Tile Adhesive. Floor areas can receive light foot traffic after 3 hours, but should not be subjected to heavy machinery, equipment etc. until 12 hours after application.
